Nature at its Grandest *****Maja Design*****

Hello, I am here to share with you a Design Team LO I did for Maja Design using the beautiful Fika Collection. This Collection has the colors that I use in my garden, but I also use a terra cotta orange. I have just finished planting,so now I get to watch all my babies grow.....

Out of this collection I used,Hemma hos mig,Vaffla m bjornbarssylt,Bjornabarskator,Bjornabarskator bs, Maripanbakelse,& Pratstund_bs. The Scrap Fx chipboard used on this LO is wordlet Nature at its Grandest (2012212),Fern Fronds (2011230) &Vine leaf corners (2011169). Here are some close ups of detail...
I first distressed all the edges of the layers, then inked the edges with Tattered Angels Dewberry. When that dried I glued the layers, then did the stitching. I used Shimmerz Paints Texturez (Artie Chocked) on the Fern Frond.
On the wordlet I used Shimmerz TextureZ (Gritty Graphite) & when that dried I applied some razzleberry & black orchid LuminArt.

I cut out pieces in the corners, then distressed & rolled using eyelets & thread to secure the roll......
The plants I used in this photo are caster beans, angelica gigis & tiger eyed sumac.....
The Blooms are from I am Roses,I deepen the color by applying some Black Orchid LuminArte to match the color of the flowers in the photo.

Klere:  Do you snack or drink while scrapping? What?     Water

Amy: At what time of day are you most creative,or do you prefer to create?  I try to get all my domestic work done first, then scrap (other wise I would only scrap). So I would say late morning, late afternoon. After supper I am toast,so I clean up to get ready for the next day.

Cindy: What makes your heart race?   Running short of time to meet deadlines.

Elisabeth: If you were to describe one emotion while scrapbooking, what would it be?  Peace, relax therapy.

Country Girl ***Maja Design****

Hello,I am here to share with you a LO I did using the beautiful, " Life in the Country" Collection.

Out of this Collection I used Strawberries with ice, Summer Kitchen, In the Hammock, Read a Book,Read a Book BS. The Scrap Fx Chipboard used on this LO is Wordlet ,Girl & Butterfly Flourish (2013022). Here are some close ups of details....

For my circle I cut out triangles, distressed the edges, then put a dab of glue in the center of the triangle & placed them into the circle. Once the glue dried I lifted the edges with my fingers so that you can see the layers, I then punched in eyelets,& weaved in white embroidery thread. My next step was to make my open circle, that I punched in eyelets, then weaved in cheesecloth & pearls. Once I completed that I glued the outside circle onto the main circle, then glued the circle onto a doily...........
I love to work with Maja papers, they distress & layer so nicely. I made my banner by starting with a piece of lace, attached cloths pins, then punched out tiny flowers with some of my scraps I was working with. The tiny white  roses are from I am Roses.....

I used white picket fence crackle on the stem part of the flourish & on the flowers I used Shimmerz paints Texturez ( tidy widy) then added some bling........
I made the flowers out of scraps that I was working with using MFT die cuts......
I first used red pepper ink on Girl, then I applied distress stickles fired brick stickles. Thank you so much for taking the time to look....Rachelle

Spring Manic Fever ****CSI #70*****

Debbie did it again!!!! Loved, loved this case,so much fun!!!!

Here is the LO I did for this case......
For the Evidence I used the color palette, flowers, metal, wood, fence, something woven, circles, mini brads, label, paint, distressing, vertical strips, & cogs

For the Testimony I documented Spring, Tucked journaling into a basket,Journaling Strips & used the words: Spring, fresh & lovely

Every Spring is crazy for me,but this one tops it. I am a gardener so in the Spring, I have a lot of clean up to do before I can plant all of my annuals. This year was our longest coldest winter yet, so once the snow went I  made sure that I started my clean up. The first thing that had to be done of course is pick up all the 5 months of 5 dogs mess. I then blew out all the gardens to remove the leaves & debris that had accumulated through out the fall & winter (I always do a fall clean up,but there is still lots of  clean up in the spring). My next step was to rake the grass to remove all the thatch.I got all this done before we got another 8 inches of snow on May 1st, I was so happy I had that much cleaned up because we lost another week. Yesterday my oldest son was home so we rented a grass dethatcher & went over the grass again with that, raked up the thatch & seeded where it needed to be seeded. The gardens & lawn is now ready & I will have 2 sons home this Mothers Day Weekend to help me clean up the pots, add more soil,& take out the outdoor furniture,so that I will be ready to plant on the May long weekend or just after that.So that is my next fear planting time, I plant like I scrapbook,I can not leave any empty space, so it requires a lot of time. I used to shut down my Scrapbooking for the summer, but now I am on a couple design teams so I have to keep up with my commitments. My Mother & Father are both dealing with major health issues,so after Christmas I moved them into my home & have become their caregiver. So my time is tight & I sure hope my sons will come & visit to help me plant. Once I am done my Spring heavy work,I will be good to go, I hope!!!

I used the Beautiful CreaDiem Collection from Maja Design on this LO. The Scrap Fx Chipboard used on this LO is clockface,gears/steampunk,scribble heart, scribble circles, chicken wire, wire fence & Alpha. The blooms are from I am Roses.
Here are some closeups of detail....
In this photo you can see my paper weaving, used in the baskets & under the photo......
Thank you so much for taking the time to look......Rachelle
